Gurdon Pumpelly raised tobacco and had a cigar factory in Owego NY. Though the house is only 120 years old, the Oak most likely predates the establishment of the estate. Just 50 feet from this oak is an impressive Black Walnut with a cbh of 15.5, and 97’ tall.
